Members of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association competed for a trophy, a prize package and bragging rights for the scariest short script in 2025.
The winner of this year's Short 'N Scary contest is Jim Peacock for his short script Underneath, which battled through two rounds of voting to our first-ever "Sudden Death" round before getting the highest point score.

The logline for Underneath is: Waking repeatedly in a strange apartment at 11:43 PM, a woman discovers she's been running from more than just a childhood fear.
