The Script -Com Screenwriters Conference kicks off Monday, November 10 at 7:00 pm with seven days of online and in-person workshops, seminars, panels, and networking events featuring working writers and producers with a track record in the industry.
Attendees can take part in tonight’s live webinar, ‘Breaking Story: Writing a Series That Sticks’ and learn how a writers room works, what audiences and studios are looking
for in a new series, and they can submit questions during the webinar to panelists.
This panel is made up of working TV pros. Heidi-Marie Ferren, currently staffed on the Fox/Warner Bros. series MEMORY OF A KILLER, Jax Ball from the breakout cult animated series RICK & MORTY and Kris Crenwelge from the CBS spy comedy TRUE LIES all share their insights on what it takes to write for network and streaming series.
Script-Com also offers seminars on writing action/thriller/crime movies, faith-based and Christmas movies, and horror films. On Wednesday, attendees can submit their logline for review by our expert panel at a logline workshop. Saturday's in-person events at Nashville Film Institute include workshops on screenwriting structure and low-budget filmmaking, an awards dinner, a table read and a film festival, followed by a taping of the streaming series, Page 2 Screen on Sunday at the NECAT studio in West Nashville.
Tickets are on sale at www.ScriptCom.org, with discounts available to members of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association ("TSA").
The Script-Com Screenwriters Conference is sponsored by the Tennessee Screenwriting Association in partnership with Tennessee Entertainment Commission, Nashville Film Institute, and NECAT.
