The Script-Com Screenwriters Conference is seven days of online and in-person workshops, seminars, panels, and networking events featuring working writers and producers with a track record in the industry.

Monday, November 10 - Online Webinar

‘Breaking Story: Writing a Series That Sticks’

TV pros Heidi-Marie Ferren (Memory of a Killer), Jax Ball (Rick & Morty), and Kris Crenwelge (True Lies) discuss how a writers room works and what audiences and studios are looking for in a new series.

Tuesday, November 11 - Online Webinar

‘Them's Fighting Words: Writing Action, Thriller & Crime Movies’

Alvaro Rodriguez (Machete), John Turman (Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer), and Marc Clebanoff (Prisoner of War) pull no punches on how to make an action, thriller, or crime script explode on the page.

Wednesday, November 12 - Online Webinar

‘The Write Stuff: A Logline Workshop’

Loglines are the basic currency for the TV and film industry. Bob Giordano and Cat Stewart take a deep dive into developing a logline and they'll review logline submissions from Script-Com attendees.

Thursday, November 13 - Online Webinar

‘Faith in Film: Writing Stories That Inspire’

Alexandra Boylan (Catching Faith), Christopher Shaw (Church People), and Larry Postel (5000 Blankets) explore the unique challenges and opportunities for screenwriters in the faith-based and family film markets.

Christine Conradt (Open By Christmas) and Bob Saenz (Operation Mistletoe) get to the heart of the matter on how to write a script that wins producers and audiences over.

Friday, November 14 - Online Webinar

C. Robert Cargill (Black Phone), Dennis Paoli (Re-Animator), Alvaro Rodriguez (From Dusk Till Dawn), Aaron Koontz (Shelby Oaks), and Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider) discuss how to create a scary story and the pitfalls to avoid when writing a horror script. Two back-to-pack panel sessions with a break in between them.

‘Breakdown: Understanding and Using the Eight-Sequence Structure’

Bob Giordano (The Odds) breaks down the Eight-Sequence structure that has been used in nearly all successful feature film screenplays for the past century.

‘D.I.Y.: Writing & Shooting Low-Budget & Short Films’

Local filmmakers Cameron McCasland (The Lashman) and KD Amond (The Unraveling) lead a workshop on writing and directing a short film on a low- or micro-budget.

The Tennessee Screenwriting Association celebrates its members' accomplishments in screenwriting and filmmaking in 2025. Graduates of TSA's Script School program and script contests will be honored. Updates on Tennessee film industry news and other speakers & surprises. Barbecue dinner by Corky’s.

‘Scary Table Read’

8:00 - 8:30 pm

The winner of this year's Short 'N Scary script contest will be announced, followed by a live table read of the winning script by actors from 4th Wall Actors Studio.

‘R.I.F.F. 4’

8:30 - 10:00 pm

TSA’s Renegade Independent Film Festival ("RIFF") returns with a lineup of short films and other coming attractions created by members of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association.

Sunday, November 16 @ Nashville State Community College

‘Page 2 Screen: Fade In’

10:30 am - 2:00 pm

Interviews with the founding members of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association at the NECAT Network studio in West Nashville.
