A trio of Hollywood action writer/producers who know how to write screenplays that keep the pages turning and the blood pumping for producers and audiences will share their knowledge Tuesday evening as Script-Com enters day two of its screenwriting conference.

The conference's 'Them's Fighting Words' panel focuses on writing action, thriller, and crime movies and it features the hottest names in the business. Alvaro Rodriguez (Machete, American Rust), John Turman (The Hulk, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer), and Marc Clebanoff (Prisoner of War, Deadly Justice) pull no punches on how to make a script explode on the page. They'll also break down how to write action movies on a low-budget.

Rodriguez was the featured guest last year at the Script-Com conference and he appeared on two episodes of Page 2 Screen, the streaming series about screenwriting and independent filmmaking sponsored by the Tennessee Screenwriting Association ("TSA"), the conference's hosting organization. Clebanoff did a webinar for the TSA back in August on film distribution as part of the Association's ongoing educational series, Study Hall.

Other online panels this week at Script-Com include a Logline Workshop, where writers can submit their logline for review by our expert panel. A webinar on faith-based and family films and then also on Thursday evening, a panel on writing for Hallmark and writing Christmas movies. On Friday, Script-Com delivers a "scary good" panel about writing for horror featuring a lineup of the hottest writers and producers working in horror today.

On Saturday, in-person events kick off at Nashville Film Institute with workshops on

screenwriting structure and low-budget filmmaking. Later in the evening, Script-Com continues with an awards dinner, a table read of the winning script from TSA's 'Short 'N Scary' contest, and a short film festival that highlights movies created by members of the TSA. On Sunday, a taping of Page 2 Screen will be at the NECAT studio in West Nashville.

Tickets for Script-Com are still on sale at www.ScriptCom.org and ticketholders who may have missed previous events earlier in the week will be able to watch all programming after the conference ends via a password-protected link. The complete conference schedule is here.

Script-Com is sponsored by the Tennessee Screenwriting Association and co-sponsored by the Tennessee Entertainment Commission, the Nashville Film Institute, and the NECAT Network.
